Breeding Aim

It is our goal to breed a healthy, correct and long-living warm-blood-horse with "go". Depending on its pedigree and the own performance of the parents, it should find use as sport horse in the disciplines dressage or show jumping. We are member in the Hanoverian Association and agree in the further the breeding-aims of the statute.

For breeding we use performance tested Main Studbook Mares, sport mares listed in the Tournament Performance Studbook of the FN, and State Prime Mares. The broodmares must be healthy and easy to handle. We breed only with mares that have a perfect character and are human reflected.

We also have very high requests on the stallions we use. Young stallions should have passed a very good Performance Test, if possible Performance Class 1. Their first foals should be convincing in type and gaits. Stallions that are sport proven are preferred. The participation and/or placements with the German Championship for Young Horses in Warendorf or World Championship of Young Sport Horses are desired. Hereby, we hope ourselves a consolidated heredity in rideability and willing to work. Furthermore, stallions go preferred in use that are proven in international tournaments, as well as stallions, with an integrated breeding-value over 120 index points in the dressage or show jumping.

Breeding Indices

The advance and the development in breeding can be pursued quite well if we compares the breeding values of old stallions with the current ones. Following numbers originate the Hannoveraner Jahrbuch Hengste 2005. The publication on this homepage takes place with friendly authorisation from Dr. Ludwig Christmann from the Hanoverian Association. The book contains many continuing information and diagrams. The current edition 2010 is available and to order for 25 € + postage in the Hanoverian Shop, Verden.
